Mauro Lapa
Mauro Lapa is the founding partner of Lapa Advogados Associados. He has a specialization in Insurance at the University of Nottingham, in England, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
Mauro Lapa is a member of Firjan’s Oil and Gas Business Council and the Coordinator of this Council’s Institutions Center. He is also the President of the Legal Security and Investment Commission from OAB/RJ and elected Director of the Brazilian Association of Institutional and Governmental Relations - ABRIG.
He is also President of the Legal Security and Investment Commission of OAB-RJ. Mauro Lapa was a professor at FUNENSEG (Escola Nacional de Seguros), held various management positions for eleven years at Sul América Seguros and was one of the precursors in setting up the health section of the company Sul América Saúde, where he held the role of superintendent.
He founded the insurance company Grupo Padrão, where he worked for twenty years. He led the M&A operation of Grupo Padrão, when he sold his stake to an US investment fund, being considered the largest operation in the Brazilian segment at the time.
Vitória Neffá Lapa
Vitória Neffá Lapa is a Lawyer, holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and has a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law and Capital Markets from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-Rio). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), with part of her studies attended at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Nova), in Portugal.
She is a professor and author of academic articles in the area of Commercial Law. Currently, she serves on the Advisory Board of the Higher School of Advocacy (ESA) of OAB/RJ as Coordinator of Commercial Law. Ms. Lapa specialized in legal English from The London School of English in London and is certified by FCE in Cambridge, England.
Vitória Neffá Lapa is also a member of the Corporate Law Comission of the OAB/RJ (Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro section) and the Special Commission for Sports, Lottery, and Entertainment Law of the OAB/RJ
Bruno Fernandes de Lima
Bruno Fernandes de Lima has a postgraduate in Labor Law and Process at the Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas no Ensino do Direito da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (CEPED UERJ) and graduated in Law from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), with continuing education courses from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Member of the Labor Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association (Rio de Janeiro section, 2022/2024).
Responsible for the Labor Law team, with expertise in the resolution of labor disputes, legal advisory service and defense of companies in the within the scope judicial and administrative.
Maria Cecília Moreira
Maria Cecília Moreira holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a Bachelor of Laws from IBMEC University Center.
She previously worked at law firms specializing in Civil Litigation, where she developed extensive experience in procedural management, strategic case analysis, and the handling of judicial disputes.
She served as coach and coordinator of the IBMEC team for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and was also a member of the Copyright, Intangible Rights and Entertainment Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro Chapter (OAB/RJ).
She currently practices in the areas of Intellectual Property, Contracts, Civil Litigation, Corporate Law, and Gaming & Betting Law.
Andressa Carvalho
Andressa Carvalho is a lawyer with postgraduate degrees in Digital Law, Innovation Management, and Intellectual Property from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG), and a law degree from Veiga de Almeida University. She has worked in law firms in the areas of Civil Litigation and Real Estate Law, accumulating solid experience in procedural management and strategic legal analysis.
She is part of the team in the areas of Civil Litigation and Gaming and Betting Law, where she develops projects focused on compliance, internal policies, and regulatory risk assessment. She maintains constant updates on topics such as artificial intelligence regulation and compliance, expanding her work in regulated environments and technology.
Giulia Santos da Silva is a lawyer, postgraduate student in Civil Procedural Law at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National Faculty of Law at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (FND/UFRJ).
To further her professional development, she has completed courses at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Professional Education (MIT).
Before joining the Lapa Advogados team, she worked at other law firms, focusing on Civil Litigation
